Any box with French words in script on it, especially if one of the words is “Patissier”, is bound to have scrumptiousness inside, waiting to take a hold of you the minute you lift the lid.

My brother’s girlfriend got this box at a conference and showed it to me. And oh my, I’m so glad she did. Look at all the yummy things inside!

Wait, don’t bite into these (even virtually!) just yet. Look closely. Each of those confections is actually a terry cloth towel, rolled up to resemble a cupcake, a slice of mocha cake and a chocolate roll. I kid you not. I had to do a double take because they looked just like the real things.

These faux treats are done by a Japanese company called Prairie Dog. They have an entire line of towel treats, each one so cute I don’t know if I could eat–I mean use–them! See all of their eye-candy linens on their website HERE, or stay a while and enjoy these mouthwatering images:

These ingenious fake bakes are available at Japan Trend Shop.

Hahaha! They do sell tons of that stuff here. A friend won a raffle at the mall the other week and she got a towel wedding cake!

I just saw one of these at my brother’s house. Someone gave him a cheesecake one. So weird.

Hi J:
Sorry if I have to go off a tangent, but did you see Top Chef this week???
WTF! (pardon my French) Unbelievable.
BTW, cake = cute stuff. You guys are all so artsty and creative. I can hardly even tie my shoelaces.
Enjoy the long weekend!

I KNOW about Dale!!! I am echoing your French! Lisa should go. She is one scary chef. I hope to never come between her and her badly-cooked rice! Haha.
