…is make you brave enough to say, “Yes, I can.”
Back from dance class—my first real one in 11 months—tired but unbelievably happy. I looked like a hippo as I lumbered around in my leotards, but all I knew was I’d worked up the courage to rediscover a craft I’ve been too scared to go back to, buoyed by the hope that anything is possible. (America woke up to a new president today. ANYTHING is possible!)
I was a hopeful hippo, at least!
May YOU have the chance to say, “Yes, I can,” today.

This is so great, to wake-up inspired to try something and really do it. I admire you for dancing again. If you want something, go get it! Ask Obama, he said so

Hurray for J! (Hey, that rhymed!)
I always tell my kids to start off something by telling themselves “I can”. Nothing like self-affirmation to empower us all

I always tell my kids to start off something by telling themselves “I can”. Self-affirmation can be a very powerful tool.

- I’m a big believer that ANYONE can dance!
Mai
I’m not a yoga person, would you believe? I tried it and hated it. You should try at least ONCE to dance.
- You can use my name however way you wish! I don’t mind.
Jess
- Thank you, and I’m glad you share the same kind of hope.
Sleepless
I’m sure your kids will grow up confidently, with your loving encouragements.
- I love ryhmes!
Vi
- Hindi, hippo talaga ako. Ahaha. But I didn’t care! Blog’s in the works.

I had to have some dance classes for my PE in college. I appreciate the beat, but I am not really comfortable dancing. But you’re right, we really ‘can’ if we want. I got teary-eyed after reading the full text of Obama’s victory speech.

You are my idol! Good for you!! You are such an inspiration.
I have no gracefulness AT ALL and that is what’s stopping me from joining group classes at the gym. My lack of coordination could be hazardous to the people around me. Haha. But who knows, I might just have the guts sometime. You are an example I should follow!
